Infotech machines utilize powerful Cognex vision software. With the correct combination of lighting and camera hardware, we can visualize and precisely align very small components. Users have the full Cognex Library available with the ability to add custom scripting to the vision processes. Custom logic, display graphics, defect inspections, fiducial alignments, image stitching, and more are all possible.

Power Module Production

In contrast to classical die bonding, power module manufacturing has special requirements. In general, power MOSFET's, IGBT's and diodes are ejected from the wafer and placed on a DBC substrate supplied in large workpiece carriers. The Infotech Power Module Die Bonder has the advantage of a big work area, which allows placing the products directly onto the workpiece carrier of the vacuum oven, without reloading the substrates. Moreover, solder preforms can be fed to the machine directly from reel - cut to size by the machine and then accurately placed. To affix the power semiconductor, either a bonding agent can be dispensed or a graphite jig (or other weights) can be automatically placed on top of the assembly.

Taping Machine

The feeding of parts in blister tapes is a well-known standard in electronics production. To make the advantages of this feeding method accessible to other industries, Infotech developed the taping machine. With this system, all kind of parts can be packed reliably with the correct orientation from bulk material into blister tapes. By default, the machine is equipped with a taping unit including a hot-seal unit, assembly head, vision system and vibratory feeder. If needed, the parts can be visually inspected and sorted, greased, or treated in some other way before taping. Ask us about the possibilities!

Flex Cell

For unique situations where a process can not be realized in an IC Cell, the process can be realized in a flex cell. Functions and processes from the Infotech Component Matrix can be combined with those of third-party providers. Our core strength is that we can rely on our extensive experience in axis control, integrated vision systems, and robot design to provide a machine that precisely meets the customer's needs. This particular machine utilizes tape feeders, 3 IP100 robots with shuttle transport systems, and integrated laser processing.

Third-Party Systems

Infotech has the ability and experience to connect to third-party machines via a SMEMA interface & transport systems. Components can be shuttled back and forth between third-party systems, in-line vacuum ovens, and much more. Infotech's own carrier transport systems are servo-controlled allowing for smooth and fast motion. This particular machine features an Infotech IC1200 cell and a CREA wafer-die testing machine.
